A diagnostic hearing test is a comprehensive hearing test. It includes air conduction testing, bone conduction, speech discrimination and tympanometry. This full test gives valuable diagnostic information as to the “medical status” of the ear.

A full diagnostic hearing test is performed with additional percentage loss calculation across the frequency range and from the frequencies of 2KHz and above. We provide quotes on hearing aids that are the latest in digital technology and the best option for maximising your hearing in your home, social and work situations.

A free screen test is usually just air conduction testing at limited frequencies. If a loss is detected, then bone conduction may be carried out at limited frequencies. If a medical condition seems to be the problem, we would recommend a full diagnostic hearing test.

The importance of knowing what a workers hearing levels are, before they commence employment is vital to any Employer in an industry or workplace that is noisy. If you (the Employer) don't protect yourself by ensuring all new workers have a simple pre-employment hearing test, you may be liable for hearing loss and noise exposure damage that was caused by another employer.

If you have a hearing loss then we will sit down together and go through a comprehensive “getting to know you” dialogue. This is very important because when I recommend a hearing aid I need to know that you are:

1. Going to be able to manage the hearing aid

2. It is going to meet your needs and hearing demands

3. You are “comfortable” with wearing it! Let's face it, not all hearing aids are cosmetically appealing, but, neither is saying “I beg your pardon” a dozen times!

What I take into account when I recommend a hearing aid is your lifestyle, dexterity, motivation, mobility and lastly cosmetics. So the getting to know you dialogue is very important. Not everyone's needs are the same!

Bonus Hearing recommend a 30-day trial of the hearing aids that will best meet your needs and we provide a money back guarantee if you are not fully satisfied at the end of your 30-day trial.
